Nothing new is really happening… As I expected I have hit a stand still… Hopefully not for too long
Progress Report
So we are halfway through this experiment and something interesting happened. At the start of this I knew that I was trying to find what I lost, but I never thought it would be the artist within me. I realized that what I lost wasn’t necessarily my voice but rather the artist I once was. Yes my original goal does still need work but now discovering myself as an artist is an even bigger goal.
I was starting to get sick on this day and it is noticeable mainly on the higher part of my range but this is a good enough A Capella song to start with… Had a really hard time picking mainly due to the fact I am very hard on myself when it comes to singing and I have never really liked how my voice sounds when it’s recorded but anyway hope you like it
This may seem a bit silly but believe me it does work… I’m sure most of you are familiar or have at least heard of the sound of music and even if you think you haven’t you will be shocked to learn you have in fact heard a song from that movie. It is called Do Re Mi and it is all about learning how to sing the notes of a scale by learning the solfege terms first… They are do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti, and then do again listen and learn the song then you can easily learn to sight read and do the scales with ease

Finally On the Better Side of Recovery!!!
It is day 19 and the breathing exercises and scales have been going well now that I am able to do it. I still have a little bit of recovery to go from my surgery but I can finally do the exercises. I have been doing them twice as long to catch myself up to where I should be so it works out. I will have a video up tonight explaining these exercises and how they work.
Audio clips vs. Video recordings
So for the past few days I have been thinking long and hard about how to do the recordings for this goal and I finally settled on vide recordings. I chose this for two reasons, one the video can be as long as it wants whereas the audio clip can only be for 30 seconds. Reason two is it is easier to show the things I will be doing through visual learning because explaining it is difficult. The first videos that will be up are recordings of a few songs and then an introduction to the breathing exercises and scales.
Surgery
So I know that in class we will come across a type of sabotage, well mine came in the form of surgery. On Friday I got my wisdom teeth removed so I was not able to post a video of my singing or even do the breathing and vocal exercises, matter of fact I haven’t even really been able to speak much but there will be a video posted by thursday this week.
